The Where We Live Data Explorer is now available in multiple languages — including English, Spanish, Bengali, Russian, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese — because language access is essential to understanding and using data. Everyone deserves the ability to access, understand, and engage with information about housing in their own language.

This interactive online tool allows users to explore key insights from the New York City Housing and Vacancy Survey (NYCHVS), helping communities better understand housing conditions across the city.

Created for Where We Live NYC 2025, the Data Explorer supports a citywide effort to confront segregation, expand access to information, and advance fair housing for all.
